our approach

1/ intake call

Verify you’re eligible through a short application and schedule an initial call with our team. Ask questions, and learn more about zenara retreats.

2/ health screening

Complete a health screening to ensure you’re an excellent retreat candidate. Screenings are reviewed by medical professionals to ensure the safety for all participants.

3/ prepare

Meet with skilled practitioners in a virtual setting. Start connecting you with practices that you’'ll engage with during your stay and receive at-home practices to support your mind, body & soul to prepare for a meaningful journey. Our practitioners will also learn more about your own individualized needs so that we can best accommodate.

4/ retreat

Retreats are led by a team of medical, holistic, and mental health professionals to ensure a safe, effective environment. Yoga, massage, and plant-based food are included to support both mind and body throughout the experience.

5/ integrate

With newfound insights, participants continue their journey with ongoing coaching to integrate and create the most of their experience. This part of the process is just as important as the retreat itself.

FAQ

  • Colorado voters approved Proposition 122, the Natural Medicine Health Act (NMHA), in the 2022 general election. The Colorado Legislature passed SB23-290, the formal implementation bill for Proposition 122. The Colorado Legislature worked to honor the intention of Proposition 122. The bill was signed into law on May 23, 2023. SB23-290 replaced Proposition 122 and went into effect on July 1, 2023.

Colorado's SB230 allows for the personal use of psilocybin. This means people in Colorado under Colorado law are allowed to grow, share and gift these substances, but they are not allowed to sell them.

Our psychedelic experiences are optional and the sharing of substances are not part of the ticket price. Sales are for lodging and activities, and creating a safe harm reduction space.

Colorado's law regarding personal use is defined as “the consumption of natural medicine or natural medicine product; or the amount of natural medicine or natural medicine product a person may lawfully possess, cultivate, or manufacture that is necessary to share with another person who is twenty-one years of age or older within the context of counseling, spiritual guidance, beneficial community-based use and healing, supported use, or related services.”

Our event qualifies as a community-based use, and a supported use. Choosing to participate in the group journey is optional.

  • zenara is designed for those who are new to psychedelics or experienced practitioners.

Participants are drawn to zenara for various reasons. Some are driven by curiosity, and eager to explore the realm of plant medicine and its potential benefits. Others feel stuck in their lives, uncertain of their next steps, and are seeking guidance and clarity.

There are also individuals who, despite engaging in therapy, continue to grapple with anxiety, depression and stress and are searching for a different approach.

  • Psychedelics have been offered indigenously for centuries wiph otential benefits for mental health, personal growth, and spiritual exploration. They have shown promise in therapeutic settings for treating conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD, and addiction, facilitating profound emotional breakthroughs and insights. Additionally, they can foster self-awareness, creativity, and spiritual experiences characterized by interconnectedness and transcendence.

Many report that these experiences provide “years of therapy” in a single session.
